China: Hyundai Verna facelift leaked

The first images of the Hyundai Verna facelift have leaked online. The car was seen in China.

Reports suggest that the Verna facelift measures 4,405 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. According to the leaked images, the Chinese version of the Verna will get revised exterior styling. It has a trapezoidal grille and sweptback triple-pod headlamps. The front bumper has silver inserts and angular creases. The car has a coupe-like roofline with blacked-out B-pillars and chrome door handles. The lower variant of the car appears to get silver alloys and a gloss black grille, while the higher variant gets dual-tone alloy wheels.

At the rear, the updated Verna gets wraparound tail lights with a red bar running the width of the car and triangular reflectors on the bumper. The dual-tone rear bumper has a silver insert and a rear fog lamp. The number plate mounting points are positioned on the boot lid. The car also has a sunroof and a shark fin antenna. In China, the car is likely to be offered with a 1.4-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 98 BHP.

The Verna sold in India is also due for an update. However, it is unclear if the Indian version will get the same styling updates. The Indian car is rumoured to get a new 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid engine.
