Bugatti Divo teased ahead of launch

Bugatti will be unveiling a new limited-edition car called Divo. It will be priced at Euro 5 million (Rs. 40 crores) and will be limited to 40 units.

The Divo pays homage to French racing driver Albert Divo, who won the Targa Florio mountain race two times in a Bugatti in the late 1920s. It will be a lightweight car with higher downforce and higher cornering G-forces when compared to the Chiron.

The upcoming car will be based on the same chassis as the Chiron but will come with a different bodywork. The engine specifications have not been revealed. However, the Divo is expected to use a re-tuned version of the 8.0-liter, quad-turbo W16 engine from the Chiron, which develops 1479 BHP @ 6,700 rpm and a torque of 1,600 Nm @ 2,000-6,000 rpm. The Chiron has a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds and a 0-200 km/h time of 6.5 seconds. The Divo is also claimed to get improved agility and handling properties.

The Bugatti Divo will be unveiled at The Quail - A Motorsports Gathering on 24 August 2018 in California.
