BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe launched at Rs. 1.30 crore

BMW has launched the 8 Series Gran Coupe in India. The car is available in two variants, standard and M Sport Edition priced at Rs. 1,29,90,000 and Rs. 1,55,00,000 (ex-showroom) respectively.

The 8 Series Gran Coupe is a four-door sedan based on the new 8 Series. The car features a coupe-style roofline and frameless doors. At the front, it has a twin-kidney grille flanked by slim headlights. At the rear, it has wraparound LED tail lights and a sport exhaust system.

On the inside, the 8 Series Gran Coupe comes with a driver-focused cockpit with electrically adjustable sports seats. It has 40:20:40 split seats in the rear and the car comes with ambient lighting, and a panoramic glass roof. The rear luggage compartment has a capacity of 440 litres.

The M Sport Edition comes equipped with BMW Lazer Lights, different exterior paint options and M Aerodynamic package, which includes extra-large air intakes, side skirts, rear apron with diffuser, 19-inch M light alloy wheels, M badges, two chrome exhaust tips among others. Inside, the car gets multi-functional seats for driver and front passenger and M leather steering wheel.

The 840i Gran Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine that produces 335 BHP @ 5,000-6,500 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,600-4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car comes with adaptive suspension and M Sport Differential.
