BMW 7 Series (730Ld) Signature launched in India

German luxury carmaker, BMW has launched the 7 Series Signature in India. Available on the 730Ld variant of the sedan, the Signature is priced at Rs. 1.22 crore (ex-showroom, all-India).

The interior of the 730Ld Signature features fine-wood trim in burr walnut with inlays on the hand grips, seat backs and rear centre armrest. There is an instrument panel in leather finish, seats upholstered in Nappa leather and ambient lighting. A 1200W Bang & Olufsen surround sound system with 16 speakers replaces the Harman Kardon unit found in the lower spec Eminence trim level. The Signature also gets individual reading lights that are adjustable and a 13-litre individual cool box that can hold two 700 ml bottles and 2 cans.

The Signature gets 19-inch alloy wheels in place of the standard 18-inchers and an emergency spare wheel. The car is equipped with electromechanical integral active steering, which combines speed-dependant steering assistance with powered rear-wheel steering.

The 730Ld Signature is powered by a 2993 cc, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel that produces 255 bhp @ 4000 rpm and peak torque of 560 Nm @ 1500 rpm. An 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels of the car.

The 730Ld Signature is available in two metallic body colours - Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect and Mineral White.
