Audi teases Q2 compact SUV

View Forum Discussion

Audi has released a video teasing the Q2 SUV. We had earlier reported that the SUV could be launched in September 2020.

Internationally, the Audi Q2 is positioned below the Q3 in Audi's line-up. The SUV is based on the MQB platform. In India, it could compete with the Mini Countryman, BMW X1 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA.

The India-spec Q2 could be offered in five trim levels. The SUV is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 187 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive system.

The car could be equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with Audi virtual cockpit.

The Q2 was first unveiled in 2016, and it received a facelift earlier this month. The video suggests that the car to be launched in India is the pre-facelift version.
