Audi Q5 facelift unveiled

Audi has unveiled its updated Q5 SUV. The new model gets a revised exterior and minor interior updates.

While the overall shape of the Q5 remains unaltered, the biggest change has been made at the front. The SUV gets a new octagonal single-frame grille and a redesigned bumper. The LED headlights also get new internals, while the tail lights get organic LEDs. The new Q5 also comes with twin exhaust tips and gets multiple wheel options ranging from 18-20 inch rims.

On the inside, the new Q5 gets a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with the updated MIB 3 system. It comes with connected car features including Amazon's Alexa. The car gets a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel which also has controls for the infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

In the international market, the new Q5 will be available with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol mild-hybrid engine that produces 261 BHP and 370 Nm. A plug-in hybrid version will also be offered. This powertrain produces 362 BHP and 500 Nm. Finally, the SQ5 variant comes with a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces 349 BHP and 500 Nm.

In India, the new Q5 is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the Quattro all-wheel drive system.
