Audi Grand Sphere concept to be unveiled on September 2

The Audi Grand Sphere is said to enter production in 2024 and will be the successor to the A8 luxury sedan.

Audi has announced that its Grand Sphere concept will be globally unveiled on September 2, 2021. The concept sedan will preview the brand's new design language for its future EVs.

The Grand Sphere concept is one of three 'Sphere' models from Audi. It is said to be based on the PPE platform from the Volkswagen Group. The Audi Grand Sphere is said to enter production in 2024 and will be the successor to the current A8 luxury sedan.

The electric sedan is said to come packed with a host of luxury and comfort features, while also offering some serious equipment onboard, including level-4 autonomous driving technology. Audi is also said to have concentrated on improving the cabin space by reducing front and rear overhangs - made possible by the position of the electric powertrain.

Audi recently unveiled the Skysphere concept - a 2-seater electric roadster with an expandable wheelbase.
