All-new E-Class (W213) spied with minimal camouflage

The W213 E-Class is on its way and a fresh video has as good as revealed the luxury sedan's design. A sea of new E-Class prototypes were filmed and a few units spotted only had a little camouflage on the head and tail lights, while the rest of the body leaves little to the imagination. As we had expected from the very beginning, the car has been styled to cover the gap in Mercedes's new design language - one that we have already witnessed in the current S-Class and C-Class.

The car features a chrome lining around the windows, chrome door handles, a chrome strip above the side skirting, 5-spoke alloy wheels and all wheel disc brakes. As revealed in previous spy shots, the interior design will be a derivation of what we have seen in the new S-Class as well. The new E-Class will feature larger dimensions, improved interior space, a lighter body and improved efficiency figures. The car will also get features like the remote parking pilot that we saw in the new 7-Series.

The car is expected to make its public debut at the Detroit motor show in January 2016 in its sedan avatar, before a wagon, coupe and convertible are introduced later on. However, it is likely that Mercedes-Benz will reveal the design officially by the end of this year.
