UPDATE: Finally completed first service. ODO reading was 1169km. The total cost breakup is shown below:

Engine oil - Motul 7100 10W50 : INR 1,580 (1.7L)

Oil Filter : 79

Gasket cap for oil filter : INR 23

Total: 1,682

GST: 16

Grand total: INR 1,850

Service experience:

I had given it at KTM Service West Mambalam because my close friends had recommended the place. They have a 10-year relationship with two service technicians. If you are planning to go there, ask for Srini. He has serviced my friend's RC200 BS3 and another friend's BS4 Adventure 390. They had also done water washing as well as chain cleaning and lubing.

There were some vibrations, perhaps due to low fuel when I was heading home. Today it was much better, but I guess I need to give it some time to settle. The engine was also pretty annoyed with me, perhaps due to some heavy traffic and low fuel on Monday. As of today, it is far more settled. I don't notice too much of a difference between regular fuel and 95-octane apart from slightly increased vibrations and the difference in smoothness. Perhaps it could be a placebo.

Can't wait to take the Duke out for a ride through Outer Ring Road, all the way to Kovalam Beach this Sunday.
