2022 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class India launch on March 3

The Maybach S-Class is expected to be offered in two variants: S580 and S680.

Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the 2022 Maybach S-Class in India on March 3, 2022.

The 2022 Maybach S-Class is based on the W223 S-Class. The car measures 5,469 mm in length, 1,921 mm in width, 1,510 mm in height and its wheelbase is 3,396 mm, which is 180 mm more than the standard S-Class.

The Maybach S-Class is expected to be offered in two variants: S580 and S680. While the S580 is expected to be assembled locally, the latter is likely to be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

The S580 is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. It produces 496 BHP and 700 Nm. The S680 comes with a 6.0-litre V12 producing 603 BHP and 900 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The Maybach S-Class comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system a 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster and tablets for the rear-seat passengers. The car also comes with two wireless headsets, folding tables, reclining seats and a 10-litre refrigerator. Features like air suspension, rear-wheel steering, head-up display and a host of active and passive safety systems are also standard.
