Exhaust system replacement:

For quite a while now, I had been intending to have the exhaust replaced. The car had been sounding rather throaty due to various holes across the length of the pipe. Multiple welds and patches had already been put in place, so it was no longer feasible to repair the current exhaust. The final nail in the coffin was when one fine day, the dholki in the back simply fell on the road!

My mechanic was informed and the car was towed to his place. I successfully found the middle and rear sections on Boodmo and ordered the same. The front half was fabricated afresh at his shop. The car came back with a shiny new exhaust. The sound has also changed significantly. It is much, much quieter now.

I had also been noticing that the rear LHS tyre was frequently loosing air. Had it sent to the local tyre shop, where the valve was found to have cracked due to age. Replaced that as well.

Having fixed the issues, there was only one thing left: a good wash!
