1st Edition of India 4X4 Week - Goa, July 22 - 24, 2016

Delhi-based Cougar Motorsport has announced the launch of India 4X4 Week (IXW), a convention focusing on four-wheel drive vehicles. The first edition of the event will be held in Goa from July 22 to 24, 2016 to coincide with the initial days of the Force Gurkha RFC India 2016.

IXW is being organized in association with some 4X4 clubs and institutions including BODA Offroaders Bengaluru, Charminar Off Road Adventure Club Hyderabad, DOT Goa, Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh, Northern India Offroad Club and Pune Pathfinders.

IXW will offer visitors an opportunity to interact with other 4x4 enthusiasts. The event will have displays with participation expected from 4X4 vehicle manufacturers, off-road equipment manufacturers and distributors. Heritage and modified 4WD vehicles of enthusiasts will be displayed as well. The event will feature manufacturers' test tracks and off-road tracks and trails will be created for visitors to drive their own four-wheel drive vehicles on. Additionally, visitors can witness the action in the 12 Prologue Special Stages of the Force Gurkha RFC India 2016.

The convention will also have training & certification sessions on off-road driving, vehicle preparation, restoration and other aspects of four-wheel drive vehicles.
The evening entertainment programme will include unveils and live performances by A26 from Goa, Motherjane from Kochi and Vinayak Gupta with Kamakshi Khanna from Delhi.

Admission to witness the India 4X4 Week and Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 will be free for all visitors. Access to some parts of the event such as the knowledge sessions, evening entertainment and inclusion in the 4X4 directory, which is to be released, will be against registration and payment of a fee. Registered visitors will also receive event merchandise.
