After an elaborate teaser affiliating the Bajaj V with the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier, the 150cc motorcycle has been officially revealed. While the motorcycle's design and specifications have been disclosed, the prices will be out in March 2016, at the time of V’s launch.
The Bajaj V features unique design cues that differentiate it from rivals in the commuter motorcycle space. This bike is offered in two colours - Ebony Black and Pearl White, both of which feature contrasting red decals across the tank and side panels.
Features include a long seat with a detachable rear seat cowl, a retro-styled LED tail lamp and black 10-spoke alloy wheels (18-inch front / 16-inch rear). The instrument cluster sports an analogue speedometer with an odometer, and an additional display that has an LED fuel gauge and neutral indicator. You also get a small display with the battery warning light.
The Bajaj V is powered by a 150cc DTS-i, single-cylinder, 2-valve engine that makes 12 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 13 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm. Stopping power comes from a 240 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear.
Pre-bookings for the motorcycle have been opened.
