10th-gen Honda Civic launched Rs. 17.70 lakh

Honda has launched the tenth generation Civic in India. It is available in three petrol and two diesel variants and prices start at Rs. 17,69,900 (ex-showroom, India).

The new Civic measures 4,656 mm in length, 1,799 mm in width, 1,433 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The car has a 430-litre boot.

The new Civic has a chrome grille flanked by auto LED headlights that have L-shaped LED daytime running lights, dual-tone front bumper with chrome inserts and a pair of fog lamps with chrome surrounds. It has a coupe-like roofline and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets C-shaped tail lamp clusters and a dual-tone bumper. 

The new Civic gets dual-tone interiors with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel wrapped in leather, dual-zone automatic climate control and 8-way power driver seat. Other features include engine start/stop button, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, electric sunroof, front centre arm rest with storage among others. The petrol version comes with Remote Engine Starter and Paddle Shifts.

In India, the Civic is available with two engine options - 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 139 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 174 Nm @ 4,300 rpm and is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that puts out 118 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @ 2,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The new Civic comes equipped with 6 airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Agile Handle Assist (AHA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, blind spot detection, multi-angle rear view camera and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors. It is available in 5 color options - Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.
