Rumour: Nissan sub-4 meter SUV to be called Magnite

Nissan has filed a trademark application for 'Nissan Magnite'. A media report suggests that Nissan could use this name for its upcoming sub-4 meter SUV.

The Magnite is expected to share its underpinnings with the Renault Triber. It could be powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, while lower variants could get a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre unit instead.

Nissan has released a couple of teaser images of the upcoming model. It appears to have a dual-tone exterior with a black roof and silver trim along the window line. At the rear, the car has wraparound tail light that looks similar to the one on the Triber but with different detailing.

According to a media report, Kia is likely to launch the Sonet sub-4 meter SUV in India in August 2020.

Tata Motors has released a teaser image of the production-spec sub-4 meter SUV called Hornbill (H2X).

Nissan to launch sub-4 m SUV in Q2 2020. Teaser out!

Citroen testing sub-4 meter SUV platform in India

A test mule of a vehicle which is believed to be based on Citroen's sub-4 meter SUV platform for India has been spotted testing. It is expected to underpin a new model codenamed C21.

The new platform is expected to be a modified version of the platform that underpins the Citroen C3 and Peugeot 208. The test mule has a 208 bodyshell, which has been raised to accommodate the increased ground clearance.
