A year on, Skoda Octavia RS 245 still on sale

It seems Skoda has been struggling to sell the Octavia RS 245 due to its high price.

A year after it was launched, the Skoda Octavia RS 245 is still on sale. Only 200 units of the car were imported into the country.

It seems Skoda has been struggling to sell the Octavia RS 245 due to its high price. The on-road price of this front-wheel drive car is very close to some variants of the BMW 3-Series, which is a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Also, the coronavirus pandemic hit soon after the launch of this car, which may have been one of the reasons for the lacklustre sales.

The Octavia RS 245 is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 242 BHP and 370 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.
