VW Polo, Ameo, Vento & Skoda Rapid might soon get 16" wheels

Volkswagen group's mass market offerings in India, including the VW Polo, Ameo, Vento and the Skoda Rapid, might soon come with 16-inch wheels. A convoy of test cars, including a couple of Volkswagen Ameos, a Polo and a Skoda Rapid, has recently been spotted. All cars in this convoy are reported to be equipped with 16-inch PORTAGO alloy wheels.

The alloys on the Ameo and the Polo appear to be identical, while the Skoda Rapid's wheel design is significantly different. Though the Vento wasn't a part of the convoy, it is highly likely that if the Polo and Ameo are offered with the bigger alloys, the Vento will also get them. It is obvious that the new 16-inch wheels will only be offered with the top-end variants of each model.

The VW Vento is also expected to get a new top-end variant soon, which will come with full LED headlamps. This new variant has been spotted testing multiple time, though Volkswagen hasn't yet announced its official launch.
