TVS is reportedly working on a 300cc adventure bike for the Indian market. A trademark filed by the company last year suggests that the bike could be called 'Apache RTX'. A new report now sheds more light on the brand’s upcoming ADV.
According to the media report, the TVS 300cc adventure bike is a separate project and has no connection with the recently unveiled BMW F 450 GS. Its overall styling, though, is expected to be like a typical ADV.
TVS is also said to be developing a new engine for its ADV. Although details of the new motor are still unclear, it is likely to be derived from the existing engine that powers the RTR 310 and RR 310 models. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The new ADV is expected to feature an upside-down fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking will be handled by disc brakes at both ends.
The report states that the new 300cc ADV is in its final stages of development and could be launched by mid-2025.
