Toyota Etios & Liva facelift to launch before festive season

If recent media reports are to be believed, Toyota India is planning to launch the facelifted versions of the Etios sedan and the Liva hatchback before this year's festive season. Both these facelifted models were recently unveiled in Brazil, though India-spec models are expected to come with some minor changes.

The facelifted Etios and Liva are expected to feature a new front grille with chrome lining, redesigned bumper with a broader air dam, and large black fog lamp housings. The car's silhouette will be identical to that of the current-gen model, with the only change on the side profile being the new 15-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper too is expected to be tweaked a bit.

The interiors of the facelifted models won't get any significant changes, as was revealed by recent spy shots. While the Brazil-spec Etios gets an all-black dashboard, a new steering wheel, and a fully digital instrument cluster, the Indian model will likely retain the same dashboard that is found on the current model.

There aren't any changes expected under the sheet metal either, as the facelifted Etios and Liva will likely be powered by the existing 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines.

Toyota dealers across India have reportedly started offering discounts on the current model, in order to clear stocks before the launch of the facelift.
