Took my Kushaq 1.0L TSI to the hills: Overall mileage & experience

After coming back from Rohtang pass, I could feel that the AC's cooling has gone down. I blamed it on the huge amount on dust the condenser faced, on the route.

BHPian ashutoshb recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Just came back from a trip to Manali. The 1.0 TSI's torque starting from 1750 rpm makes climbing inclines a smooth affair. Heck, the AT was climbing several inclines in second gear easily, where I would have manually slotted a car in first. While climbing really really steep inclines, it effortlessly climbed with the AC on. I was immensely impressed.

I topped up the fuel tank at Manali. From Manali to Rohtang Pass to Sissu, back to Manali and then finally refilled the tank at Kurukshetra, Haryana. 45 litres went in and the trip meter read 560 kms. Despite all the jams in Himachal, crawling in first gear for hours, it still gave an FE of 12.4 kpl.

Another thing. After coming back from Rohtang pass, I could feel that the AC's cooling has gone down. I blamed it on the huge amount on dust the condenser faced, on the route. Got the car washed and the cooling was back to normal.

Sharing a couple of pictures. The third one is my favourite. Clicked it outside our Airbnb in Manali. Our Kushaq with Grandpa Yeti. The last one is of the infamous jams we faced in Himachal. This one is 2 kms before the snow point at Rohtang Pass. We were there for a good one hour before we started crawling ahead.
