Tata Nexon EV to be unveiled on December 19, 2019

The unveiling of the Tata Nexon EV has been pushed back to December 19, 2019. Initially, the car was scheduled to be unveiled on December 17.

The Nexon EV is expected to be based on the updated Nexon with the revised styling. It could get twin-pod headlamps with U-shaped LED daytime running lights. The car also appears to have a new grille and redesigned front bumper.

The electric SUV is likely to get a smartphone app that would provide information like the battery status and range.

The Nexon EV is expected to use Tata's Ziptron technology. It is likely to be powered by liquid-cooled lithium-ion batteries. Both, the battery pack and electric motor are expected to come with an 8-year standard warranty.

The Nexon EV is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of FY2019-20.
