Tata Motors expands Prima LX range with 10 new models

Tata Motors, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has expanded its Prima LX range of trucks with the addition of ten new heavy duty models. The new models cover the haulage and construction segments.

The new launches include six models in the Cargo range and four models in the Tipper range.

Cargo range:

Prima LX 4928.S SRT, Prima LX 4928.S HRT, Prima LX 4028.S SR, Prima LX 4028.S HR, Prima LX 2523.T and Prima LX 3123.T

Tipper range:

Prima LX 2523.K, Prima LX 2528.K, Prima LX 3123.K and Prima LX 3128.K

Prima LX 4928.S - 49 tonne haulage segment. Engine: 6.7-litre, 267 hp. Gearbox: G1150, 9-speed. Offered with single reduction tandem axles (SRT) for customers looking for high performance and quicker turnaround times or hub reduction tandem axles (HRT) for customers looking for high torque and ground clearance and optional AC.

Prima LX 4028.S - 40 tonne haulage segment. Offered with single reduction axles (SR) for customers looking for performance and quicker turnaround times or hub reduction axles (HR) for customers looking for high torque and ground clearance and optional AC.

Prima LX 2523.T - 3-axle truck. 25 tonne GVW. Engine: 5.9-litre, 230 hp. Gearbox: Eaton ES-9106A DD. Optional AC.

Prima LX 3123.T - 4-axle truck with twin-steerable axles. 31 tonne GVW. Engine: 5.9-litre, 230 hp. Gearbox: Eaton ES-9106A DD. Optional AC.

Prima LX 2523.K, Prima LX 2528.K - 25 tonne tippers.

Prima LX 3123.K, Prima LX 3128.K - 31 tonne tippers.

Engines: 230 / 280 hp. Gearbox: Tata G 1150. 9-speed.
