Taking delivery of my Mahindra XUV700 petrol AX7L

It's gorgeous and a beast at the same time. Till date I haven’t seen any other XUV700 running in Delhi or Noida. And its getting lots and lots of eyeballs.

BHPian manav274 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Hi fellow BHPians,

This is my first post in the channel and I hope it will be good.

Firstly thanks to the moderators to allow my membership.

Coming back to the post.

I have taken the delivery of my XUV700 on 2nd November.

Sorry for the dusty car as it just took a dusty parking at Delhi Zoo.

Its petrol, AX7L and in gorgeous Midnight Black colour.

I have been dying to reply to so many questions that were asked after 2nd November, i think the forum went from 97th page to 213 in the meanwhile.

Delivery story:

Got a mail from MnM on 29th Oct that my XUV will be delivered on 30th October. Thought of it as a mistake, ignored it completely . Then the executive from Indraprastha automobiles Wazirpur Delhi called and confirmed the same. But I wanted the delivery on the Dhanteras, so i delayed the delivery by 2 days itself and the dealer agreed on the same. There was some glitches during the delivery but as its a new vehicle and altogether a new process, it was fine and a smooth process itself.

Odometer:

Reading stands at 850+ kms till now. I know its less but been a bit busy in personal life. Will take this monster out for a wild ride after 1st Service.

After sales support:

Ahem Ahem ... Hands down the best after sales service I have seen till date in an Indian car manufacturer. Although I am among the very few ones who got the initial delivery of the vehicle in Delhi-NCR. The resolution time for any query or issue has been under 12 hrs and that's commendable. And that's the resolution time and not the revert from some representatives . The POC aligned for me has been spectacular and very aggressive . As its a new flagship for MnM, they are not leaving any stone unturned w.r.t customer care and after sales.

Coming to the Vehicle:

It's gorgeous and a beast at the same time. Till date I haven’t seen any other XUV700 running in Delhi or Noida. And its getting lots and lots of eyeballs. Even got pulled over by a cop, who just wanted to check the car and admired it very keen-fully.

MnM have outdone themselves by leaps and bounds. And I am in love with the car. It’s smooth and brutal on acceleration.

Let me break it down in chunks:

  • Flushed Door Handles(Automatic): The highlight of the locking and unlocking in public. It’s smooth and slick.
  • Headlights: Clear and very bright and have a good throw.
  • Music system: Darn it makes me smile , doesn't matter where you are seated, its crisp, loud, and clear.
  • ADAS: The major reason for buying the XUV, and it works very well. As i have a toddler who wants to wreak havoc in the car. ADAS is a must and it actually avoided a crash for me when my son just distracted me. Phew and thanks for this feature.
  • Seats: Plush comfortable and specially the welcome feature is so warming. Makes me feel pampered by the car.
  • Dual zone AC: As its a segment first, but an old thing so no one has talked about it. But for me its a blessing, cant tell how many arguments it has saved me from.
  • Sky Roof: Nice, big , and the highlight for the second n third row passengers.

And lots more.. cant write, its too much.

Sore Points:

Manual IRVM: Why MnM why, this is not done in such a segment.

NO AIS Dark Green cut glass: Its beyond my understanding that how can MnM can launch such a massive impactful car without using AIS dark green glass, which is used in cars like the Baleno also. Having transparent glasses is odd and then not providing internal sun shades also.

Thanks guys,

Will share more soon and will try to answer your questions.

Also yes I haven’t taken insurance from the showroom and it was from a third party. The showroom/dealer cant force you to do so. If they still argue then please ask them to write it on official letterhead or send a mail from their registered ID.
