American bike manufacturer, UM Motorcycles had displayed its range of bikes at the 2014 Auto Expo. The company has now started testing its bikes in India.

Two models - Hypersport and Renegade Commando have been spotted in Pune by a reader of motoring website Autocolumn.

The Hypersort is a street bike with a 775 mm upside down front suspension with springs and dampers that can be adjusted as per the rider's preference. The bike has an analogue tachometer, digital instrument cluster, USB charging port, blind spot mirrors, LED lamps all round and alloy wheels shod with tyres featuring anti-flat sealant.

The Hypersport is available with a choice of three single-cylinder, four-stroke engines - 124 cc (10.45 hp @ 8500 rpm, 9.00 Nm @ 8000 rpm) , 199 cc (14.75 hp @ 7500 rpm, 15.00 Nm @ 6000 rpm) and 223 cc (17.27 hp @ 8000 rpm, 16.86 Nm @ 4000 rpm). A 5-speed gearbox takes care of transmission duties. Stopping power comes from single disc brakes on both the wheels.

The Renegade Commando is a cruiser motorcycle with a 223 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine producing 18 hp @ 8000 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
