Skoda to unveil small SUV concept at 2020 Auto Expo

According to a media report, Skoda is planning to unveil a concept SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is likely to be based on the MQB A0 IN platform and could be launched by the end of next year.

In addition to the new SUV, Skoda is also planning to introduce a notchback at the beginning of 2021. This car will also based on the low-cost MQB A0 IN platform. Both cars will be manufactured locally.

As part of the India 2.0 project, the VW Group lead by Skoda is investing 1 billion euros in India to localize the A0 platform. The carmaker aims to source 90% of the parts from local suppliers. It is also setting up a new R&D centre near Delhi.
