Radio-controlled scale replica of Schumacher's F2002 F1 car for sale

The 1:3 scale model comes with its own 53.5cc, 4-pot engine from Pegasus.

A 1:3 scale radio-controlled replica of Michael Schumacher's double-championship-winning F2002 Ferrari F1 car is on sale. The radio-controlled scale replica is said to be the brainchild of Stephane Andrist, a Swiss businessman. It was built in 1,000 hours over three years.

The scale replica is said to be going up for auction at Graham Budd Auctions for F1 memorabilia. The 1:3 scale model comes with its own 53.5cc, 4-pot engine from Pegasus, allowing it to achieve a top speed of 50 mph. The F2002 scale model also gets double wishbone suspension, mechanical shock absorbers, and vented disc brakes. The car tips the scale at 32 kg.

Early birds can place a pre-auction bid starting at GBP 90,000. However, once the auction goes live, the scale model is expected to fetch somewhere close to GBP 200,000.
