Skoda Kodiaq teased before September 1 unveil

Skoda has officially released a set of undisguised images of its upcoming premium 7-seater SUV, the Kodiaq. The Czech automaker has also revealed that the Kodiaq will be unveiled on September 1, 2016 in Berlin.

The new teasers further cement the fact that Skoda has carried forward majority of the design cues of the VisionS concept to the production-spec Kodiaq. It gets a wide grille, bi-xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, alloy wheels that are inspired from the VisionS concept, and LED taillights.

Powering options on the Skoda Kodiaq will include three petrol and two diesel engines. Petrol units will have a power ranging from 123 BHP to 177 BHP, while the two diesel engines will develop 148 BHP and 187 BHP. A 6-speed manual will be mated to all engines, while a DSG will also be offered with selected trims.

Skoda India recently confirmed that the Kodiaq SUV will be launched in India next year. It will be brought in as CKD units and will be assembled at the company's plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
