Scoop: Volkswagen Vento diesel DSG spotted at dealership

Volkswagen is all set to launch the Vento sedan with a new 1.5-litre diesel engine on September 24, 2014. While the car will be available with a 5-speed manual, the company will also be offering it with a DSG automatic transmission. Here are a couple of images of the Vento diesel DSG which were snapped at a dealership.

The Vento diesel will be powered by same 1.5-litre TDi motor found in the recently launched Polo facelift producing 104 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The DSG transmission will make it the second diesel sedan in its segment, after the Verna, to be offered an automatic gearbox.

Going by the images, there don't seem to be too many cosmetic changes to the Vento. On the outside, there is a new brown shade and alloy wheels of a different design. Coming to the interior, there is a new multi-function steering wheel, silver inserts on the centre console and of course, the DSG gear lever.

Dealerships have started accepting pre-booking deposits for the Vento diesel DSG.
