Scoop! Tresa Motors electric truck spied in Bangalore

The Model V0.1 electric truck is based on the company’s FLUX350 Axial Flux Motor Platform

Bangalore-based startup, Tresa Motors, unveiled its first electric truck in July last year. One of the prototypes was recently spotted testing in the city.

The Tresa Model V0.1 is a 2-axle electric truck. The test vehicle is equipped with a large cargo container and has an LED light bar at the rear. While the cab of the e-truck is not clearly visible in these images, it appears to be similar to the futuristic concept that was showcased by the company earlier.

Another unique design feature of the Tresa Model V0.1 electric truck is its centre-mounted steering wheel. The central driving position is said to improve visibility. It also comes with several safety features, including airbags, Lidar and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based tech.

The Model V0.1 is based on the company’s FLUX350 Axial Flux Motor Platform. It uses a 600 kWh modular battery pack which powers a range of electric motors from 150 kW to 350 kW. The Model V0.1 has an estimated range of 300-500 km. The battery is capable of fast charging from 0-70% in 15 minutes.

Tresa Motors is also developing its eAxle DAX1, which integrates the FLUX350 motor, motor controller, AMT gearbox and differential into a single unit.
