The Mahindra Xylo has not been a strong seller. Last fiscal, its sales crashed to 13,961 units - a drop of more than 44% compared to the previous year. Keen to revive its flagging sales, Mahindra is rumoured to be working on an updated version of the MPV.
One of the reasons that the Xylo is not doing too well is its rather unattractive look. Apart from that, competitors from Toyota (Innova) and Maruti (Ertiga) are much more car-like to drive, making the Xylo unappealing to private buyers. With the upcoming updates, Mahindra will be hoping to try and generate some interest among prospective buyers.
