Rumour: Hyundai Creta facelift variant details out

According to a leaked document, the upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift will be offered in 6 variants - E, E+, S, SX, SX (Dual) and SX (O). The top-spec SX (O) will be offered with a Smart key band similar to the Nexon AMT. The Creta facelift is expected to be launched later this month.

As part of the facelift, the new Creta will get a redesigned cascade front grille and headlights with LED DRLs and positioning lights. It gets dual-tone bumpers with skid plates and higher variants get 17-inch alloy wheels, while a sunroof will be available on the SX automatic and SX (O) variants.

On the inside, features like height adjustable driver seat and sliding armrest are now standard across all variants. A touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity will be offered on SX, SX (Dual) and SX (O) variants, while only the top-end variants will get wireless charging.

On the safety front, dual airbags and ABS will be standard across all variants, while the top-spec SX (O) will come with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and Hill Assist. Rear parking sensors and camera will be available on all variants except for the base E and E+ trims. Hyundai is also offering the ISOFIX child seat restraint system only on the SX automatic variants.

Meanwhile, Hyundai is expected to offer the same engine options as the current model. Currently, the Creta comes with a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with 123 BHP and two diesel options - a 1.4-litre with 89 BHP and a 1.6-litre with 126 BHP of peak power. A 6-speed manual transmission will be standard, while a 6-speed automatic gearbox will be offered on the petrol version as well as the 1.6-litre diesel.

The Creta facelift will be available in 9 colour options - White, Black, Silver, Fiery Red, Passion Orange, Stardust, Marina Blue and two dual-tone options - White N Black, Orange N Black.
