Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X, 500X brochure leaked

Brochure images of the upcoming Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and 500X have surfaced online. The images confirm that the bikes will be offered in four colour options - Getaway Orange, Drifter Blue, Whimsical White and Roving Red. 

The bikes will feature 9-spoke alloy wheels finished in black and shod with tubeless tyres. The handlebar on the 350X and 500X bikes has been re-positioned and they come with a new gunslinger-style seat. The front forks, handle bars and the redesigned rear grab handle are all finished in black, while other cycle parts such as the engine, crank case and exhaust are finished in matte black. Like the standard Thunderbird, the bikes are equipped with a circular headlamp with an LED DRL ring, LED tail lamp and a twin-pod instrument cluster. The bikes however do not get the split seats with pillion rider back rest like the standard Thunderbird. 

Both the 350X and 500X get the same engines as their respective standard models. The 350X is powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 19.8 BHP @ 5,250 rpm and 28 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. The 500X uses a 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 27.2 BHP @ 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. Both bikes are expected to be offered with a 5-speed transmission. The bikes get disc brakes at both ends however ABS might not be on offer.

According to media reports, the Thunderbird 350X and 500X are likely to be launched on February 28, 2018.
