Rode the 2023 Duke 390 & V-strom 250 on a 1000 km ride: My impressions

Rider seat can be a bit more flat/horizontally leveled. That aids in touring long instead of constantly pushing you to the tank when braking.

An Adventure Sports Tourer and a Street Naked do 1000 km together.

I will refrain from asking the question. Yes, that one

Wife & I rode to Coorg and a few places. Wife's feedback -

  • Rider seat can be a bit more flat/horizontally leveled. That aids in touring long instead of constantly pushing you to the tank when braking.
  • Aux lights mandatory. So we'll get something soon. If anyone here has fit, would be grateful if you could share images of where on the bike you managed to fit it.
  • Otherwise, this little one is opening up nicely I'd say. I myself put in about a 100kms within Coorg and didn't once think about the yellow bike!

Also, is that a top box on a Duke 390?

Some accessories installed -

  • Clear visor - MotoCare - quite decent. Wife is 5.4. No buffeting for her so far. I'm 5.10. slight buffeting near eyebrows. Not bothersome. It's a personal choice ultimately what you choose to live with. The one thing I personally hate is that the number plate has to be relocated. There are other players now with visors that comes with number plate mounting included.
  • Radiator guard - Zana. Came with 4 really short zip ties. No bolts and nuts. Was a bit ridiculous but that was the only option back when we bought it.
  • Knuckle guards - KTM. Enough for touring.
  • Fork seal savers - Kriega. Warranted given it's a USD setup. No personal experience with fork oil seals breaking. Just advice from gurus online.
  • Top rack - Zana. Good quality, yes, but slightly reverse inclined. Looks a bit unusual once you mount the Top box.
