Renault Pulse gets updated interiors

The Renault Pulse has been a slow seller in India. However, Renault India has not given up on it. In a bid to prop up the car's appeal and sales, the company has tweaked the cars interiors.

The interiors of the Pulse now resemble those of the facelifted Nissan Micra that was launched in 2013. There is a new centre console with a piano black finish and silver surrounds, a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity and instrumentation for the climate control. The circular AC vents have been replaced by rectangular units.

Renault has not made any changes to the exterior or the mechanicals of the Pulse. The car comes with a choice of two engines:

  • 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol (75 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 104 Nm @ 4000 rpm)
  • 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel (63 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 160 Nm @ 2000 rpm)

Both engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
