Renault Pulse gets added features; Priced at Rs. 5.03 lakhs

Renault gives the Pulse, its premium hatchback, a mid-life refresh with a handful of added features to generate interest for the vehicle in the Indian car market.

The 2015 Pulse includes features such as automatic headlamps, steering mounted controls and a height adjustable driver's seat. The model that features these changes is priced at Rs. 5.03 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 6.16 lakhs for the diesel variant (ex-showroom Delhi).

In 2013, Renault had updated the interiors of the Pulse and it continues to get a dual tone dashboard with a piano black finish on the center fascia. The car sees no mechanical changes and continues to be offered with a 1.5 liter K9K diesel motor producing 63 BHP and 160 Nm of torque; and a 1.2 liter petrol motor that produces 75 BHP and 104 Nm of torque.

Renault barely manages to sell this badged engineered Nissan Micra in triple digits. Over the past 6 months, this car has sold ~181 units on an average through 157 sales and service outlets across the country.

In a related article, Nissan recently reduced its standard warranty from 4 years or 80,000 kms to 2 years or 50,000 kms. The company has now begun charging for the additional 2 years or 30,000 km warranty.
