Over 1 lakh Ola electric scooters booked in 24 hours!

The Ola electric scooter could go on sale in India later this month.

Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, has announced that the company has received over 1 lakh bookings for its first e-scooter in just 24 hours.

Ola Electric opened bookings for its upcoming e-scooter on July 15, 2021. Customers could pre-book by paying a nominal sum of Rs. 499 on the company's official website.

The e-scooter is likely to use a 6 kW electric motor, powered by a swappable battery. It is expected to offer a maximum range of 240 km. The scooter will accelerate from 0-45 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The new electric scooter could go on sale in India later this month. The company is yet to announce the official launch date.
