Ola Electric launches its first Hypercharger

The Ola e-scooter competes with the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and the TVS iQube.

Ola Electric is set to begin test rides of the S1 e-scooter on November 10. Prior to that, the company has launched its first Hypercharger.

Using the Hypercharger, Ola Electric customers will be able to charge their scooter batteries from 0-50% in 18 minutes. The charging stations will have a multilevel layout. The company plans to install its Hyperchargers in over 1 lakh locations across 400 cities.

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro e-scooters were launched on August 15, 2021. The former comes with a 2.98 kWh battery that offers a range of 121 km, while the S1 Pro uses a larger 3.97 kWh battery offering 181 km of range.
