New Ford Endeavour spotted with 3.2L, 4wd and AT

The next-generation Ford Endeavour has been spotted once again. This time, the vehicle has been snapped inside at a service station.

The vehicle in the spy images has a 3.2-litre diesel engine mated to an automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system is also present. This is likely to be the top-of-the-line variant of the Endeavour.

Some of the features seen on the SUV include alloy wheels, a sunroof and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. On the inside, it gets a leather-wrapped, multifunction steering wheel, a dual tone dashboard with brushed aluminium inserts, a touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery, an automatic gear lever and a rotary control knob for the terrain response system.

The Endeavour will be available with a choice of two diesel engines:

  • 2.2-litre, 16V, 4-cylinder, 158 BHP @ 3,200 rpm, 385 Nm of torque @ 1,600-2,500 rpm
  • 3.2-litre, 20V, 5-cylinder, 197 BHP @ 3,000 rpm, 470 Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm

Both engines use a variable geometry turbocharger and are expected to come with manual and automatic gearboxes and in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.

Ford is expected to launch the Endeavour in India in the first quarter of 2016.
