My Etios, a truck & a monkey: A very close call on the highway!

One might think, why I swerved towards the left instead of going right, is because in my ORVM I saw the truck veering towards the right.

Monkey Business!

I was in the right lane and overtaking a truck & came to the left lane to overtake another truck in the right lane. Then I noticed a couple of monkeys coming towards the road from the left side, anticipating a 3rd monkey to come, I took off my foot from the A pedal and slowed down. The 3rd monkey came running in front of my car from the left, and I was well in control, but suddenly a 4th monkey appeared from the right and came right in front of my car. Just behind my car was the truck in the left lane and a bike on the left side of that truck. The bike was slow and I knew it could stop easily but a big 16-wheeled truck couldn't.

So I just braked hard in a straight line, took my foot off the brake pedal, and swerved to the extreme left to give the truck the required space.

One might think, that why I swerved towards the left instead of going right, is because in my ORVM I saw the truck veering towards the right.  The truck driver utilized the space I made for him and he smiled back at me.

All well that ends well!
