More images: Next-gen Ford Endeavour spotted in India

Last month, the next-generation Ford Endeavour was spotted testing in India (click here to read report). Now, the vehicle has been seen once again, in the city of Chennai.

The new Endeavour measures 4893 mm in length, which makes it shorter than the outgoing model. However, with a width of 1862 mm and a height of 1837 mm, it is wider and taller. The SUV features a rather bulbous design with a body-on-frame construction.

The images show the rear of the Endeavour. There is a roof-mounted rear spoiler and wraparound tail lamps. The tailgate and bumper of the vehicle are camouflaged.

Previous images show that at the front, the Endeavour has a trapezoidal grille and projector headlamps. The SUV also comes with side steps and six-spoke alloy wheels. The interiors of the Endeavour are likely to be more modern compared to the outgoing model.

The Endeavour is likely to be offered with a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder and a 3.2-litre, 5-cylinder diesel engine with manual and automatic transmissions. Like the current model, it is expected to be available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The SUV is also likely to be equipped with Ford's Terrain Management System, which has four preset settings - normal, snow/gravel/grass, sand and rock.
