More images: Maruti Ciaz facelift interior

Images of the interiors of the upcoming Maruti Ciaz facelift have been leaked online. These images reveal all the changes that have been made to the car's cabin.

At first glance, the interiors of the updated Ciaz look similar to the outgoing model. While the dashboard's design has been carried over unchanged, the faux wood trim is now of a lighter shade. The car is seen with a 2-DIN infotainment system suggesting that it is a lower variant.

The 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel is also carried over. The only additions are the buttons to operate the cruise control, which can be seen on the right spoke. The instrument cluster has been updated as well. The MID has been positioned lower and the blue speedometer and tachometer needles suggest that this particular vehicle has Maruti's SHVS mild-hybrid system.

While Maruti is yet to confirm the technical details of the Ciaz facelift, media reports indicate that it will be offered with a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. This engine will replace the old 1.4-litre unit. Maruti is also likely to launch a diesel mild-hybrid variant powered by a new 1.5-litre diesel engine sometime next year. While the Ciaz facelift is expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission initially, Maruti is also rumoured to be working on a new 6-speed manual gearbox for the car.
