Michelin launches X Works HD radials for construction sector

Michelin has launched the X Works HD range of radial tyres in India. Designed for commercial vehicle that operate mainly on paved roads, but also need to visit construction sites, the Michelin X Works range comprises of 10.00R20 X Works HD Z and X Works HD D for drive axles. The tyres are constructed using super high tensile cables, wide steel belts and reinforced casing cables for the sidewalls. Both tyres are rated for a maximum speed of 110 km/h and can withstand loads of 3,075 kg at a nominal inflation pressure of 115 psi.

The X Works HD D is designed for drive axles gets large shoulder blocks and wider transversal V grooves with a tread depth of 20 mm. It is developed for muddy or slushy surfaces. 

The X Works HD Z and has grooves that, the company claims, has stone ejectors at the base of the tread grooves that reduce the chances of stones getting trapped in the tread. It has a tread depth of 17 mm and can be used in all positions. 

The recommended rim size for the X Works HD D and HD Z is 7.5 x 20 inches.
