Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift spied for the first time

The 2025 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class might carry forward the same set of engines as the current model.

Mercedes-Benz is said to be working on a mid-cycle facelift of its Maybach S-Class sedan. Ahead of its global debut expected next year, the flagship luxury sedan has been spied for the first time.

The spy images of the upcoming Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift showcase the front and rear of the uber-luxury limousine wrapped in camouflage. Reports state that the facelift version will get a larger front grille, a reworked bumper, a new tail light signature and a bespoke set of forged alloy wheels. Being a 'Maybach', the limousine will also carry forward the additional chrome elements all around, along with the Maybach emblem on the C-pillar.

The Maybach S-Class also gets additional equipment inside, including a more premium sound system, Mercedes' assistant with gesture control for the rear, electrically adjustable & reclining seats in the rear with massaging features and footrests built into the floor.

The 2025 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class might carry forward the same set of engines as the current model. This comes in the form of either the S580 4MATIC or the S680. The entry-level model comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 496 BHP and 700 Nm, combined with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The S680 gets a 6.0-litre V12 producing 604 BHP and 900 Nm. A few international markets also get a plug-in hybrid paired with a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine.
