Maruti Vitara Brezza scores 4 stars in Global NCAP crash test

The Maruti Vitara Brezza has scored a 4-star rating for adult occupant safety in Global NCAP crash tests. The compact SUV scored a 2-star rating for child occupant safety.

According to the test report, the Vitara Brezza offered good protection to the head and neck region of the driver and the front passenger. Protection for the chest area of the driver was found to be marginal, but the car offered good protection to the passenger's chest.

With the child seat installed, the car was able to provide good head protection and marginal chest protection to a 3-year-old. For an 18-month-old, it showed poor protection for head and limited protection for the chest.

The tests rated the bodyshell of the Vitara Brezza as stable. The test vehicle was equipped with front seat belt pretensioners with seat belt reminder for the driver, dual front airbags, ISOFIX child safety seat anchor points and ABS.
