Reports suggest that Mayank Pareek, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sales and Marketing of Maruti Suzuki, has resigned. He has served the country's largest car maker for a tenure of over two decades while the market share of Maruti Suzuki was at its peak.
Mayank Pareek himself has not confirmed the news of his resignation, however a senior company official confirmed the same. The reasons for his resignation are still uncertain and rumours suggest that he may soon head - Tata Motors.
Three months ago, the company had witnessed the departure of another top level official - Sudam Maitra, COO (supply chain). The launch of Maruti's C-segment sedan - Ciaz is around the corner and the company has already witnessed 2 top level exits.
