Maruti Suzuki recalls Baleno and DZire

Maruti Suzuki has voluntarily issued a recall for 75,419 units of the Baleno and 1,961 units of the Dzire.

The Balenos (petrol and diesel), manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016 have been recalled to upgrade the airbag controller software. The Baleno diesel (15,995 units) and only the AGS variant of the DZire diesel (1,961 units) which were manufactured between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 will undergo inspection and replacement of a faulty fuel filter.

The airbag controller software upgrade and the replacement of the faulty fuel filter will be done free of cost. Maruti Suzuki will start contacting the owners of the vehicles from May 31, 2016.

Owners can check if their vehicles are affected by filling in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) here for the Baleno or DZire.

The company had issued a recall on May 20, 2016 for 20,427 S-cross cars, to check and replace faulty brake parts.
