Maruti dealer staff to become safety ambassadors

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new initiative called 'Project Safety Kawach’ (PSK), under which, the automaker will be training its dealer sales staff so that they can become ambassadors of road safety. Through this new initiative, Maruti is aiming to provide its dealer staff enough knowledge so that they can motivate potential customers to opt for cars with safety features, as well as show them the importance of obeying traffic rules.

In order to do so, Maruti dealer staff across the country will undergo a short road safety module under the Maruti Driving School. This module would be specially designed for the dealer staff to reboot their knowledge about road safety and safety equipment. Maruti is hoping that its dealer sales executives (DSEs) absorb this knowledge about traffic awareness and road safety, and then explain it to potential customers that visit the showroom for a test drive or a purchase.

The company also hopes that with added knowledge about safety equipment, the sales staff will be able to explain and market its cars more efficiently, stressing on the safety features available.
