Maruti Celerio Tour H2 taxi launched at Rs. 4.21 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Celerio Tour H2 aimed specifically at taxi operators and cab aggregators. It is based on the LXi (O) variant of the Celerio hatchback and is priced at Rs. 4.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

In terms of its proportions, the Celerio Tour H2 is identical to the standard Celerio hatchback. It measures 3,695 mm in length and is 1,600 mm wide. Its height is 1,560 mm and the wheelbase is 2,425 mm. The Tour H2 has a 35-litre fuel tank and 235 litres of luggage space.

On the outside, the Tour H2 has the same front bumper and fog lamp pods (sans fog lamps) and a similar mesh grille flanked by sweptback headlamps as the standard car. It comes with matte black ORVMs and door handles and it rides on 13-inch steel wheels. The interiors are identical to the regular car and it comes equipped with manual air conditioning and power steering. Further, as per the new regulation, the Celerio Tour H2 comes standard with a speed-limiter. 

Mechanically, it is identical to the Celerio hatchback. The Tour H2 is powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 67 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque @ 3,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. 

Safety features like ABS along with driver and passenger side airbags are expected to be offered as standard.
