Maruti Alto K10 facelift spied without camouflage

In April pictures of a test mule of what is suspected to be an updated Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 had surfaced on the internet. The heavily camouflaged vehicle did not reveal much about the changes to the car. Now more pictures of the car have been obtained, this time without any camouflage.

The new pictures, which have been shot at long range, show that the K10 will look similar to the Alto 800. It has a taller body with larger, swept-back headlamps, new grille, front bumper and rear section.
The Alto K10 is expected to carry on with the same engine that does duty in the current model - a 998 cc, 3-cylinder unit which develops 68 PS and 90Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There are rumours that an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) will be available as well.

Maruti is likely to launch the new Alto K10 in January 2015. It will take on the Datsun GO and Hyundai Eon 1.0.
