Maruti Alto K10 facelift spied again; details revealed

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 facelift has been spied without camouflage once again and this time the pictures are much clearer, giving us a pretty good idea of what we can expect.

The images put up by Gaadiwaadi suggest that the facelifted Alto K10 looks similar to the Alto 800 with large, swept-back headlamps, new grille, front bumper and rear section. The car will run on the 13-inch wheels like the current K10.

The website claims that the K10 will be available in three variants - LXi, LXi+ and VXi. The LXi variant will have air-conditioning with a heater and power steering as standard. The LXi+ adds wheel caps, while the VXi gets wheel caps, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, door protection mouldings, front power windows, rear parcel tray and central locking.

The Alto K10 is expected to carry on with the same engine that does duty in the current model - a 998 cc, 3-cylinder unit which develops 68 PS and 90Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A CNG option and Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is likely to be available as well.

Maruti will likely to launch the new Alto K10 in January 2015.
